The Beauty Spot was founded in 2016 by beauty therapist, Hayley Mountjoy-Hicks.

Hayley qualified as a beauty therapist in 2003 and began her career working part time in a salon while still completing her NVQ3. After gaining 13 years industry experience, Hayley started her own mobile beauty business in and around the small Cotswold town of Tetbury, quickly building a legion of loyal clients. In November 2016, The Beauty Spot salon opened its doors offering a huge variety of treatments in a unique and tranquil environment with free parking for customers.

Hayley specialises in lashes and skincare and was delighted to be awarded Dermalogica Expert status in January 2019. Hayley undertakes regular training and workshops and also attends numerous trade shows to ensure she stays up to date with the latest techniques and industry trends.

In October 2016, Hayley competed in the international Lash Games competition at Olympia, London and was ecstatic to have won 1st place in her category beating hundreds of competitors from around the world!

In March 2018, Hayley reached the finals of the English Hair And Beauty Awards for Beauty Salon Of The Year (South West), which is quite an achievement for a small one-man-band going up against much larger salons! Hayley and her husband James attended the glamourous black tie event but was sadly pipped to the post!

In November 2019, The Beauty Spot moved to it's current location in the centre of Tetbury offering a more spacious experience with a dedicated pedicure room and a lash & brow bar.

Since reopening after COVID19, the salon is busier than ever and often has 3-4 week waiting list for appointments.
